Having registered on the service and familiarized oneself with it, the next step is to make connections.
If we travel abroad it is customary to observe local traditions. For example, in Thailand, we greet each other with a ‘wai’ (with hands together, palm to palm and a bow of the head). The system can attempt to reflect this in a simple yet faithful way based on the preferences registered, particularly nationality and locality.
So when someone is connecting from Thailand, their connection message communicates this ‘Wai’ through a representative icon and the message might be “Sawasdee khrub” with a discreet link to an optional explanation in English (part of the online Help). Every contact is an opportunity to learn, but it should not be imposed.
